More than 25 years ago, Albemarle Counseling Group (ACG) was founded by Richard A. McClintock, Ph.D., and Jean Scott, LCSW, with the vision of providing ethical and effective psychotherapeutic services to the residents of the Albemarle region.

ACG has grown to become a highly respected multidisciplinary behavioral health service with seven full-time professionals who provide a wide variety of evidence-based psychotherapies and psychological testing services for individuals above the age of 5.

Albemarle Counseling Group is the oldest full-time behavioral health practice in the region and our providers have all made a commitment to our clients, the community at large, and to the practice.
