Hilary Hunsberger

Ms. Hunsberger holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Masters of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been licensed to practice social work since 1996, serving adults, children and families in a variety of settings to include inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers and outpatient clinics. Ms. Hunsberger has extensive experience working with clients from urban neighborhoods in Chicago, IL and Philadelphia, PA and more recently with the communities of Northeastern North Carolina where she grew up.
Ms. Hunsberger continues to provide psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults using individual, couples and family modalities in her current practice. Ms. Hunsberger employs an eclectic blend of cognitive- behavioral, person-centered, self-psychology/object relations and psychodynamic approaches. She has received specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, SIT CAP interventions for abused children and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy which is effective in treating trauma and anxiety issues.
